The SiLK project was developed by CERT Network Situational Awareness (CERT NetSA). Before it was called "SiLK", the analysis suite and work was always called "Suresh's Work", in recognition that the large scale analysis was, more than anything else, the work of Suresh Lakshman Konda. Without the creativity, hard-work and intellectual discipline that Suresh provided, this work would not exist.
The work on flow-based security analyis at CERT NetSA benefited enormously from the contributions of the project's sponsors and partners, as well as from the work of researchers and students from Carnegie Mellon University, including the following: James McCurley, Marc Kellner, John McHugh, Carrie Gates, Josh McNutt, Chris Lee, Syoumo Moitra, Chris Rush, Adam Yarnold, Meena Soneji, Yvette Rosales, Kevin Donnelly, Michelle Dunn, and Jay Kadane.
The active software developers and security analysts on this project at CERT NetSA include:
- Michael Collins
- Michael Duggan
- Sidney Faber
- Andrew Kompanek
- John Prevost
- Tim Shimeall
- Mark Thomas
Our funders and partners also continue to make essential contributions to the project.
